What is Door-to- Door auto transport?

It means that the truck driver will pick the vehicle up and drop it off as close to your home as he can legally and safely get. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport trucks are enormous and need a lot of spaces to ply and turn around, so if access to your home is restricted by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, speed bumps or tight turns the driver may ask that you meet the truck at a large parking lot nearby. You will receive a call from the trucker if these alternative are necessary.

How can I track my vehicle while in transit?

You can track your vehicle by phone call or email during business hours.

What is the difference between open and enclosed transport?

The most common car shipping method is open transport where a car is exposed to outside elements such as rain, sun, dust, etc. It is a safe and secure way of transporting vehicles. With open car shipping, you can request top load for extra protection. Most of the owners of collector cars and used for classic, luxury, vintage, custom and sports cars prefer enclosed transport for their vehicles. It prevents the vehicle from weather elements, flying objects and possible rock chips.

What type of truck will transport my car?

It’ll depends on the car shipping service you choose. It will be either an open or enclosed trailer hauling multiple vehicles.

Can I ship a car that doesn’t run?

Yes, we ship both operable and inoperable vehicles every day. For an Inoperable vehicles, it takes longer to be picked up and cost a little more because we’ll need to arange for a truck with a winch to load your vehicle.

Can I ship a modified or oversize vehicle?

Yes, for that, you must call for a customized quote. The price from our online quote calculator will not work for a customize quote.

Can I ship furniture in my car?

No, personal items are not allowed in a auto transport carriers because those are not licensed to transport household goods.

Can I ship a collector car?

Yes, you can. For that, we suggest you ship the vehicle enclosed.

Can I ship a Boat?

No, Prime Express does not transport boats nor personal watercraft even if they are on trailers.

Can I ship a Motorcycle?

Yes, we can ship motorcycles. Call Prime Express for a customized quote.

Can I ship a vehicle with low ground clearance?

Yes you can, however any vehicle with clearance lower than 4 inches need to be shipped on an enclosed trailer with a lift-gate. Low clearance vehicles simply cannot be driven onto an open trailer because the car would bottom-out on the un-even ramps.

Can I ship an RV or Trailer?

Prime Express Auto Transport does not transport RV’s, Trailers or Campers.

Can I ship a vehicle with a lift kit and oversize tires?

Yes, but you must tell us about the modifications at the time of booking. Our online rates are based on vehicles with no external modifications from the standard factory condition and will need to have an additional premium added to the online price. If a vehicle is modified from the factory condition in any way it’s best to place an order over the phone and we’ll get all the necessary details from you and give you the most accurate price. Can I ship an ATV?

Yes, we ship ATV’s and small off-road vehicles. Call Prime Expressfor a customized quote.

Can I ship a vehicle with a roof rack?

Yes. If the roof rack can be remove esily, you can remove it and place it inside the vehicle. If it cannot be removed, it may cost you extra. You can call us for a customize quote for that.

Do you offer Terminal-to- Terminal shipping?

Though we only offers Door-to- Door service which is considerably faster but usually not that much more expensive. If you have a rural pickup or delivery location, you can meet a trucker near an interstate or larger city. It’ll save considerable cost over what would normally be a higher rate for a rural pickup or delivery.

Can you ship my car Internationally?

We do not ship car to or from international destination but we can take it to or from a U.S. Port.

Can I ship a car from an auto auction?

Yes, we ship car from or to an auto auctions. We need to know details from you at the time of booking for different requirements to release a vehicle. Please make sure the vehicle is fully paid and ready for release from the auction. Also please note that if a vehicle is booked as operable but it turns out inoperable, there will be additional cost and the original trucker may not be able to accommodate an inoperable vehicle.

Can I ship a car from a storage facility?

Yes. Please make sure that the bill with the storage facility is settled prior to pickup as this is the biggest problem we have faced with storage facilities. Also please note that if the vehicle turns out inoperable and it was booked as an operable vehicle, the cost to complete the transport will be more and the original truck may not be able to accomodate the shipment. If you have doubt whether the car will start or not when the trucker gets there, give us a call and we’ll discuss options.

Can I ship a car to or from a U.S. port?

Yes, it will typically cost $50 more than the standard rate to cover the cost of permits to pick-up or drop-off a vehicle from a port.
